Tracy Lesser – A Proven Leader and Advocate for Our Schools and Community

For more than 30 years, I have lived, worked, and raised my family in Winston-Salem. As a mother and now a grandmother, I know firsthand how important strong public schools are to the future of our community. All three of my adult children attended WS/FCS schools, giving me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing students, families, and educators.

I volunteer and serve on several non-profit Boards in our community. I’m always willing to lend a helping hand when asked! In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, pickleball, reading, gardening and cooking.

Professionally, I bring over three decades of financial and organizational expertise as a Certified Public Accountant. With 22+ years in Big 8/Big 4 accounting firms and 10+ years managing the tax departments of local hospitals, I understand how to navigate complex budgets, ensure accountability, and make informed, responsible decisions. Today, I continue to support healthcare and nonprofit organizations as a consultant.

I am running for the WS/FCS Board of Education because I believe every child deserves a safe, supportive, and high-quality education. I am committed to fiscal responsibility, transparency, and strengthening the connection between schools, families, and the community.
